La violencia de género que vivimos en los medios socio digitales es un continuo de la violencia que experimentamos en otros espacios como la escuela, las calles, y a veces en la propia casa. En México, el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI) publicó los resultados del Módulo sobre Ciberacoso (MOCIBA) para el 2020, 3 de cada 10 mujeres han pasado por una situación de ciberacoso en los últimos 12 meses, el 58% de las víctimas de este tipo de violencia tienen entre 12 y 29 años.
Los principales tipos de violencia que enfrentan las mujeres son de tipo sexual, insinuaciones o propuestas sexuales con 35.9%, contacto mediante identidades falsas 33.4%, mensajes ofensivos 33.9%, recibir contenido sexual 31.3%, llamadas ofensivas 20.5%.
La investigación Chidas en Línea: un estudio sobre el impacto de la violencia digital contra las adolescentes en México, de las participantes en la investigación un 30% de las adolescentes que pasaron por una situación de violencia digital, no pidieron apoyo ante dicha situación. Para los casos en que sí pidieron ayuda, el 29% acudió a una amiga, el 26% a su familia, el 6% a una autoridad escolar y tan solo el 1% pidió apoyo a la policía cibernética.
El informe presentado en el 2020 Justicia en trámite por la colectiva Luchadoras destaca que “en los últimos tres años se abrieron 2,143 carpetas de investigación en 18 estados del país por el delito de difusión de imágenes íntimas sin consentimiento, sólo el 17% de las carpetas iniciadas encuentran alguna forma de conclusión a través de alternativas de justicia. Las carpetas de investigación no se judicializan. Las causas penales iniciadas por estos delitos son mínimas. Se iniciaron sólo 24 causas penales, que representan el 2.8% del total de 847 carpetas abiertas en siete entidades”.
Este año, con el apoyo de personas que creyeron en el proyecto y nos apoyaron desde la campaña GOMujeres2021 de HipGive 2021 y el financiamiento de INDELA, desde Cultivando Género AC hicimos la Guía de resistencia digital entre amigas No Navegas Sola, documento que brinda las herramientas para acompañar en caso de violencia digital y da una opción no solo penal para el acompañamiento de casos de violencia.
A raíz de escuchar a las personas adolescentes, madres, padres y personal docente lanzamos la campaña #FrenaElHate, creemos que todas las personas podemos detener la violencia digital.
En la asociación apoyamos la idea de que la prevención de la violencia digital debe ser una política pública integral que se aborde desde la perspectiva de género y que visibilice los problemas estructurales que impiden el acompañamiento, atención, seguimiento, reparación y no repetición de la violencia digital.
Desde Cultivando Género AC nos sumamos a los dieciséis días de activismo contra la violencia a las mujeres en el marco del Día Internacional de la Erradicación de todo tipo de violencia contra las mujeres. Vamos a tomar una barda, ponerle color y colectivamente pintar que todas, todos y todes podemos detener la violencia digital.
